The Vertigo Encyclopedia
Although this Vertigo Encyclopedia wasn't published by Vertigo, it blows the original one out of the water, not just because the original was made around the birth of the Vertigo imprint to detail the characters that switched over and this one deals with the life of it. But also because this one goes into great depth into the volumes Vertigo has released rather then just the characters, like others comic encyclopedias are known to do. But just because Vertigo didn't publish this doesn't mean it wasn't worked on by some of their greats, both Neil Gaiman (writer of Vertigo's The Sandman) and Karen Berger (the Executive Editor at Vertigo) provide forewords and still others helped with the content.
