Bridging the gap between Youngblood #0 and the first issue of last year’s Brigade mini-series, Brigade #0 chronicles the sequence of events leading up to the formation of the Brigade team, including Battlestone’s first confrontation with Youngblood and Shaft! Guest-starring Emp, of Jim Lee’s WildC.A.T.s.

Brigade is a team of super-heroes funded by two wealthy brothers, Coldsnap and Seahawk, who take an active part in their investment. Battlestone, formerly the leader of the Youngblood team, heads Brigade. Atlas, a giant; Kayo, an archer; and two women: Thermal, who can throw fire, and Stasis, who can create anti-motion force fields, round out the team. Not sanctioned by the government, these vigilantes nevertheless manage to find situations which challenge their skills and teamwork.

Blood Brother Prelude: Cabbot lead his team in order to destroy a armed facilities where they have to face Commander Corben.  But Cabbot discover he soon have to face another enemy. His own brother, Battlestone.

The origin of Battlestone is revealed, from his days working with Chapel and Al Simmons to the Allies during WWII. Also a glimpse into his childhood and relatioship with his brother Cabbot.
