Fleeing the site of a secondary vampire infestation in the cold, wilds of Alaska, a band of survivors arrive at a climate change facility during the final days of a long period of extended daylight. The inhabitants of the research compound are trying to determine the nature of a strange object found in the ice when the survivors arrive, leading to a frightening and bloody confrontation between humans and vampires and an odd and unexpected guest!

The Steam Man, a giant metal man operated by a team of monster hunters, seems to have the town protected and the West under control, until a crazed and powerful vampire comes to town to bring forth the apocalypse! A trio of brutes ambush Jonah Hex and prepare to hang him from a tree tied to his horse. They want revenge upon Hex for killing their sister. But an old timer named Slow Go Smith appears and shoots the brothers down and frees Hex. Slow Go is a bounty hunter and is preparing to take the brothers to Mud Creek so he can cash in the reward. He cuts their heads off to make transportation (and proof of identity) easier. Jonah decides to come with him.
