Cry for Dawn
The short story anthology started by J.M. Linser and Robb Horan used to show case Linsner's artistic and creative talents and those of new and upcoming writers and artists. The themes of the stories were generally dark but the the emphasis was on originality and experimentation, giving new comic book creators a forum in which to get their work noticed. Each edition featured the tear streaked goddess Dawn on the cover in a piece of artwork by Linsner. The now iconic covers were a major selling point of the series and such was the clamor for more Dawn Linsner gave her her own comics book series "Lucifer's Halo" that shot him into wider recognition.
