Mike Carey comic
The Unwritten
I give this a mild three stars. My problem with this issue, and the other handful of issues I've read, is that the main story doesn't really appeal to me. The scenes that take place within the Tommy Taylor universe, and the literary diversions are much more interesting. See issue 5 to see exactly what I mean. It's one of my all time favorite single issue stories and has hardly anything to do with the main plot....
Suicide Risk
Heroes are dying, and cops are dying twofold. Humanity is underpowered in the face of their onslaught, and people are suffering untold casualties trying to stem the flow. After barely surviving a super-powered bank heist gone horribly wrong, beat cop Leo Winters vowed to try and find a way to stop them. Following a lead, he discovered two lowlifes who seemed to be able to grant a person powers...for the right price. Thing is: you don't get to choose which power. It's seemingly random, a crap-shoot, a risk. Will Leo decide to take that risk? Why is it that even the heroes in this world eventually break?
Lucifer: Nirvana
A beautiful angel with an ancient score to settle puts out a contract on Lucifer Morningstar. But can the Devil really die? Alerted by an attack on Lux, his L.A. piano bar, Lucifer follows a trail that leads him from the mercurial realm of the Dreaming to the luminous streets of Beijing. It's up to The Morningstar to fight his most difficult battle, of body and spirit, as he falls into the jaws of a trap that doesn't even exist until it's sprung.

Lucifer (2000)
Lucifer, written by the award winning Mike Carey and predominantly illustrated by Peter Gross and Ryan Kelly, was a series published by Vertigo, spun off from The Sandman. This ongoing series continues from Lucifer's first mini-series, Sandman Presents: Lucifer (also written by Carey), and builds off of plot threads set up therein. The series follows Lucifer Morningstar as he tries to create a world of his own and gets involved in the affairs of angels, demons, gods, and mortals in the process. Lucifer does not appear in eleven issues of the series, and in many that he does appear he makes simple cameos.
