Pim & Francie: The Golden Bear Days (Artifacts and Bone Fragments)
Collecting more than a decade's worth of excavations, comic strips, animation stills, storybook covers, and much more, this broken jigsaw puzzle of a graphic novel tells the story of Pim & Francie are childlike male and female imps whose irresponsible antics get them into horrific, fantastic trouble. The brilliant, fairy tale-like backdrops hint at further layers of reality lurking under every gingerbread house or behind every sunny afternoon. Their loosely defined relationship only contributes to the existential fear that lingers underneath the various perils they are subjected to, which are threaded together by text and notes by the artist.

The Man Who Came Down the Attic Stairs
Emma is excited to start a family in her new home, but after her child's birth she finds her world turning upside-down. The infant cries like it's scared of something, or someone, and Emma's sleepless nights quickly drive a wedge between her and her husband, who seems uncharacteristically detached. When Emma begins to see strange things in the house, the line between reality and fantasy blurs and her grasp of what's real and what's not becomes even more clouded. Is something unnatural haunting the nursery? And what if it also affected her husband, who ventured up into the attic when they first arrived... Inspired by the works of Shirley Jackson and Ira Levin, Celine Loup's The Man Who Came Down the Attic Stairs weaves a tale of horror and suspense that captures the isolation of postpartum depression, while exploring the very real fears associated with new motherhood.

Renfield
Renfield is haunting and sophisticated mini-series of the bug eating inmate from Bram Stoker's classic Dracula novel. It centers on a man who is slowly being consumed by madness because of the visions and voices that intrude upon his dreams and nightmares. While the events from the Dracula novel swirl around him, Renfield faces his pre-ordained task of preparing for his mysterious "master" and struggles to understand what his "messiah" is asking of him. Upon discovering that Dracula is offering him eternal life, Renfield realizes that for beings such as Dracula to live, others must die. This includes Mina Harker who Renfield reveres and this conflict throws Renfield into an internal struggle of the darkness of immortality against his own humanity. And as such Renfield struggles to grasp the overwhelming need to serve the darkness. Staying true to the original Stoker story in chronological order and events, this mini-series focuses primarily prior to Dracula’s actual arrival in England.
