Only three hundred brave souls block its dash. But they are more than men . . . they are Spartans. The first full-color project by Frank Miller for Dark Horse, painted by Lynn Varley (Ronin, The Dark Knight Returns).

Each of the stories focus on a different character in a different location. While it isn't explicitly revealed early on in the series, throughout the progression of the series it becomes clear that all four protagonists are related to one another, although none of them know about the lives the others currently lead and have not seen one another in years, if at all. Alex (#1-3) is the father of Jack (#4-6) and Ethan (#7-9) and Adam (#10-12) are Jack's twin sons. The locations the stories take place in are New York City, Miami, Detroit/Midwest, California/Nevada. As the latter two stories deal with the protagonist's traveling, they aren't confined to a single city.

The issue starts in the distant past where the monolith instructs a hunter on how to craft a spear and then shifts to the future where two astronauts discover an alien ruin. Have your psychic ribbons and lethal weapons at the ready, for the hunt is on! But beware a land where the dead walk, the faerie folk flutter and a ragtag band of ne'er-do-wells perform for your entertainment — that's right, it's the Guardians of the Galaxy, 17th-century style! 101 Ways to End the Clone Saga
This is an entertaining comic for regular Spidey readers, with a fairly deep knowledge of Spidey's background, and a decent understanding of the clone saga. As I said, there are a lot of inside jokes. It is worth zippo to anybody that is new to Spider-man. The script is clever, and the art was acceptable, although not great. Many people were not satisfied by the revelations in Spider-man 75 and the Osborn Journal, but this issue proves that it could have been a lot worse. Mary Jane's a hologram?!
